I am planning on building a boat. The piece of most importance to me right now is the Keel and associated members, These need to be quartersawn white oak, kiln dried, very important that no corners have been cut or shortcuts taken throughout the process. So, I am wondering if you could provide me information as to your source of white oak, your selection criteria when purchasing rough lumber, if I would be able to possibly be involved in any of the process beginning at selection, how and how long you kiln dry your wood, etc. Piece should be long enough to yield a 30′ Keel.
